The vision of the institute is to increase Knowledge of Muslim women in the society to better understand and use Islamic teachings in everyday life and become the best among the institutes that teaches the Arabic language and Islamic studies.
WHAT WE DO
HAFSA BINT SIIRIN CENTRE is a women-focused Islamic educational, charitable, and welfare organization that has been actively engaged in Educational and Social Welfare activities for the past four years. With a special emphasis on women, orphans, vulnerable girls, disabled individuals, and the aged, the center works to foster mutual understanding and cooperation among women of Islamic faiths. It focuses on the importance of teaching Arabic and other Islamic studies. Established in 2014 by religious women scholars and enterprising volunteers, the organization operates in two centers within the township, owning the facilities through the contributions of goodwill Muslims and Samaritans. The main center, equipped with a hall, seven classrooms, two toilets, and a small office, serves as a hub for the center’s activities. HAFSA BINT SIIRIN CENTRE’s well-established management structure is overseen by a board of members. The day-to-day affairs are managed by a lean team of 35 volunteers, including teaching and support staff, who receive incentives from over 400 women and girls associated with the center. The organization sustains its operations through a combination of cost-sharing fees and financial support from individual Muslims, all managed under a trustworthy financial system with an operational account at the Bank of Kenya – Garissa branch.
